Broadmoor Heights is one of the more recognizable and established neighborhoods in Houma located adjacent to the equally well known Broadmoor Subdivision.  Most of the houses in this neighborhood are 20 years or older, but generally well kept and with close proximity to downtown, good schools, and lots of shopping, this is a highly desirable neighborhood.  

Home styles in the area vary greatly adding to the charm of the neighborhood.  Many are ranch style homes.  Most homes have simple but fitting landscaping and covered parking. 

In the last two years, the median price for houses in Broadmoor Heights is $168,000 with the highest selling for $243,000.  The average house in this area has 3 or 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and about 1750 square feet of living space.  Most homes have moderate sized fenced in yards and space to park at least 2 cars.   While many homes are over 20 years old, there have also been a number of houses built in the last 10 years.   

Many residents enjoy being so close to Mardi Gras Parades and shopping.  Broadmoor Heights is located less than 2 miles from Southland Mall, a large local grocery store, and Martin Luther King Blvd with plenty of shopping and restaurants for any type of cuisine you may be craving.   

This neighborhood goes to Broadmoor Elementary School, Evergreen Junior High, and "A" rated H.L. Bourgeois High School.  If private school is more your speed, St. Bernadette Elementary School is located in adjacent Broadmoor subdivision and Vandebilt Catholic High School is less than 3 miles away. 

Also located only a few streets over is Broadmoor Sports Complex, where recreational baseball games are held.  There is also a playground for public use with swings and playground equipment for the younger children.
